Warmachine Journeyman League Starting This Week

Starting on Wednesday night, Phoenix games will be starting a brand new Journeyman League for Warmachine/Hordes. The Journeyman League for WARMACHINE and HORDES is Privateer Press’ first official slow-grow league! This league is designed to encourage new players to begin learning the game with their chosen faction’s battle box and then expand their collection over the course of six weeks. The Journeyman League rewards both the player’s in-game victories and their skill with a brush. In fact, eager hobbyists can enter the league and score points just for assembling and painting their models!

If you're looking to get into Warmachine, this would be a great place to start. We have battleboxes available on the shelf for most factions, and our employees can guide you through what you would need to get started. If you're looking for a demo of the game, we've got several active players who can show you the ropes. Just show up on a league night or make a post on the forums in our WARMACHINE/HORDES section, and some one should be available to show you how the game works.

The format is as follows:

April 25th - Battlegroup box set only - Scenario: Mangled Metal / Tooth and Claw

May 2nd - 15 points: Battlegroup box set contents required - Scenario: Kill Box

May 9th - 25 points: Battlegroup box set contents required - Scenario: Kill Box

May 16th - 25 points: Battlegroup box set contents required (’caster swap allowed) - Scenario: Kill Box

May 23rd - 35 points: Battlegroup box set contents required (original or
swapped ‘caster allowed) - Scenario: Kill Box or Killing Fields

May 30th - 35 points: No restrictions - Scenario: Kill Box or Killing Fields
