Event Details & Prizes
1^st Place = $400 + 60 TCGPlayer Points + TCGPlayer Playmat
2^nd Place = $200 + 40 TCGPlayer Points + TCGPlayer Playmat
3^rd & 4^th Place = $100 + 30 TCGPlayer Points + TCGPlayer Playmat each
5^th to 8^th Place = $50 + 20 TCGPlayer Points + TCGPlayer Playmat each
9^th to 16^th Place = 20 TCGPlayer Points + TCGPlayer Playmat each
17^th to 32^nd Place = 10 TCGPlayer Points each + TCGPlayer Playmat each
33^rd to Last Place = 2 TCGPlayer Points each

TCGPlayer Points are redeemable for Byes at TCGPlayer $5000 and $50,000 Tournaments.

Tournament Structure
The structure for Platinum $1K tournaments will be modified Swiss-style, with top players after the Swiss rounds playing in a single-elimination playoff for prizes and invitation(s).

Tournament Format
Standard Constructed and Deck Lists are required

The Magic 2013 Core Set is not legal for use in the Standard format until July 13, 2012. Events held prior to this date will not use the Magic 2013 Core Set.

Tournament Length
Swiss rounds will each be 50 minutes in length.

Single-elimination matches will have no time limit.

Number of Swiss rounds based on attendance according to the following chart:

Advancement
All players may participate in all Swiss rounds.

The top players after the final Swiss round will advance to the single-elimination playoff. The number of players that advanced to the playoff is based on the number of players in the event (see chart above)

 

Playoff
Playoff matches will be best 2 of 3

Playoff matches will be single-elimination

While there are no time limits in the playoff rounds, players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and finish their matches within 60 minutes

Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.

For the first game of each playoff match, the player who finished higher in the Swiss rounds chooses either to play first or to play second. For subsequent games in each playoff match, the usual Play/Draw rule applies (loser of the previous game decides whether to play first in the next game).

The Magic: The Gathering Tournament Rules and Magic: The Gathering Infraction Procedure Guide are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document

Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.

Entry Fee
Entry fee is $25 for the Standard $1000 Platinum Event.

Side Events
Jax Card Singles Premium Magic Tournament Qualifier in Standard Format - Entry Fee is $18

1^st place = 3 Booster Packs, 2nd Round Bye to the JCS Premium IPad Tounament on 08-11-12 in Jacksonville at UNF & 1/2 off Entry Fee
2^nd Place = 9 Booster Packs
3^rd & 4^th Place = 6 Booster Packs Each
5th to 8^th Place = 3 Booster Packs Each 

Booster Draft & Win-A-Box 8 Player Single-Elimination Events - Entry Fee is $13.
Booster Draft Prize Pool will be 6-4-1-1.  Win-A-Box Events will be offered in Standard and Legacy Formats with a winner takes all prize pool of a 36 count booster display.


4 Player EDH / Commander Pods - Entry Fee: $10
Structure: 4 Player Elimination Pods.  Prizes: 4 Booster Packs for each player you eliminate
